Seaside Goat Cheese

Pescadero is a small, charming Californian seaside town along Route 1.

In Pescadero is an even more charming, family run goat farm. Harley Farms makes the most amazing goat cheese! The burst of flavors when the cheese touches your tongue, will make you want to thank the goats over and over again. Which you can do on their goat farm tours if you like. :)

They used to have free unlimited sampling but don’t anymore. My guess is because a whole bunch of people would breeze in, graze and gobble their way through the various cheeses and saunter out without buying anything!

The employees are still kind and generous though. If there’s a cheese you’d like to sample, they’ll be happy to open it up for you.  Just make sure you buy something though. J

This is a must stop on my family and friend’s tour of the Bay Area. I make a whole day out of it. We sample and buy goat cheese from Harley Farms, head on over to to Main Street for some fresh out of the oven artichoke bread, then take our picnic basket and rumbling tummies to Bean Hollow State Beach. There, on the pebbles, facing the bay and backed up by cliffs, we feast.

I love Harley Farms so much that I made it the first video in my series for tripfilms.com
