Piggyback with Sarah is what you get when you grow up on two continents and three countries with an insane thirst for travel mixed in.
Travel for me is more than ticking a box off a random list. It's about being enveloped in differentness - another people, an usually tantalizing smell, a random meeting turning into lasting friendship, a new taste that blows the lids off of your tastebuds.
Travel is about the small things. It's about the flower lady sitting on the street, who'll generously pin flowers in your hair, using her own bobby pin. It's about the people who'd share their food with you when you reached a family owned restaurant a little too late. It's about being totally silenced by a sunset.
